The surgery

On March 11, 2010, after nearly a year of constant pain in my right (blind) eye, I went into Charlotte Eye Ear Nose & Throat Associates' office to have my eye removed. The decision was a painstaking one, and required a lot of thought and talks with both my parents and my boyfriend as to which was the best option.

I will admit that I don't like change. Abhor it is more accurate. So it was with a heavy heart that I decided to have my eye removed, a process that is irreversible.
